After the GW:EN map update, you may of noticed the Tyria map changed.

My dislike is the 'new' fog effect on the map - especially on shiverpeeks were the snow looks like 'dirty' (grey) snow now (doesn't look right any-more) rather than white. This 'new' effect seams to make the cartographer title harder too.

Does anyone else dislike the 'new' fog effect?

Personally I think it makes the boundary between fog and unfogged areas more noticeable, which should make cartographer easier as people can find the unexplored parts easier. And I get to see more detail on the unexplored areas, which is good as I don't actually care about the cartographer titles.

I think for me, I got used to the boundary between fog and unfogged areas. I can understand if some prefer this. However I really think the snow fog needs to return to white, just doesn't look half as good.

I'm at 99.5 % on the explorer title, and I used the fog to check for places I'd missed. The new fog is crap. All fog that once covered impossible to reach places has been removed. That was my only clue to finding the last .5%

shame they cant put it back to normal or at-least have an option to switch between new and old fog's - *sigh
